The 2011 Buick Regal uses a Flipkey or Switchblade Remote Key.  This means the remote and the key are integrated into one part.  There are 4 primary functions of the flipkey: lock, unlock, trunk, and panic. 

Press lock to lock all doors.  Press unlock once to unlock the driver's door.  Press twice to unlock all doors.  Press and hold the trunk button to pop the trunk.  Press panic once to locate the car.  Press and hold to engage the alarm in the event of an emergency.

Use the silver button to flip out the key.  To put the key away hold the silver button while pushing the key back into it's place.
